In the early aughts Banana Republic had turned into the go-to brand for office minimalist. The brand had lost its way and it's core "safari" heritage. It was time to wipe the slate clean and return to the brands core ethos. Safari was back but this time in the urban landscape of New York and the Hamptons. The docu-style images were captured by famed french photographer Brigitte Lacombe. Campaigns featured Cecilia Chancellor and real life couple Emily Mortimer and Alessandro Nivola. The return to Banana Republic's core values set the stage for luxury handbags and conceptual window displays.
